Hey Everyone its Karam
Today we learned, that quadratic functions are similar to trig. First Mr.P showed us a couple of pictures and a picture where a tree was bend so their was a parabola on the picture, which was an idea for our iPhoto project. We learned the 5 key points of cosX and sinX. We also got a work sheet.
Mr.P reminded us again that 90°=1/2π=1.57, 180°=π=3.14, 270°=3/2π=4.71 and 360°=2π=6.28. Quadratic functions are similar to trig, for example: y=sin(x-c)+d, where c moves the sinX to the left or right and the d moves the sinX up or down. This is the same for cosX, but remember that cosX starts at +1, unless d has a value. We all got our mental math back and no one got a 10/10. Just a reminder, their is going to be another mental math on Thursday. I will give a couple of example for sinX and cosX, for example:
the black one is"sin(x)", the red one is "cos(x)", the blue one is "sin(x-1)+2" and the green one is "cos(x+1)-2", sorry i couldn't change it to °
and if you want to make trig functions, here is the website:http://fooplot.com/
Have a great day
