8th of November

Hey guys Sarah Ortega here,

In the beginning of class Mr. Piatek showed us two packages of geometric set that he bought during the weekend and he also made us guess how much it cost him. He said that he got them for $1.54 each. He also said that if any of you guys want one just ask him and he'll get them for you aslong as the sale is still on. LOL.He also told us that he washed his car yesterday and that we went for 6 miles jog yesterday.

Anyways moving on to Precal stuff:

Today Mr. Piatek decided to check everyones homework individually. There were 10 people that didn't finish there homeworks. And also, today we started a new topic.

Quadratic/Trigonometric Equations

As a class we went over the Question number 1:

There is two ways to solve this equation:

1st ways to solve this equation

The first thing that you have to do is move the -1 to the other side
Then you would have to square root both sides of the equations
Then after you would have to use the quadrantals to find for the reference angle.

The second way to solve this equation is by Factoring:

First, you would have to Facetor the equation

Second, you would have to equal both of them to zero

Third, you would have to move 1 or -1 to the other side.

Fourth, you would have to use the quadrantals.
